Connect doForms to Geotab

Before the doForms integrations with Geotab can be used, your doForms administrator must perform a one time step that connects your doForms account to your Geotab account.

There are two methods to connect doForms to Geotab:

In doForms

1. Log in to mydoforms as the doForms account administrator.
2. Open Manage > General > Geotab account.
3. Click Connect to Geotab:
   
   
4. Log in to Geotab using your Geotab username, password and the correct Geotab database:
   
   

In MyGeotab

1. Install either the doForms Map or Trips History add-in in MyGeotab by following these installation instructions.
2. In MyGeotab, navigate to the Map or Trips History.
3. Select at least one vehicle or driver or trip.
4. The doForms Map or Trips History add-in will display in the right panel.
5. If the add-in does not look like the image below, the connection step has already been completed.
6. Enter the doForms administrator email address and password, and the doForms account that should be linked to Geotab.
   Note: The email does not need to match the email address of the currently logged in Geotab user.
7. Click Connect to doForms.
   

Connect multiple doForms accounts

Multiple doForms accounts can be connected to a single Geotab account with the following limitations:

Get Geotab data Action button

• No limitations. The Get Geotab data action will retrieve data based on the Driver that is logged in to Geotab inside the doForms app.

Map and Trips History add-ins

• The correct doForms account will be used as long as the email address of the user logged in to Geotab matches only one doForms web user in the connected doForms accounts.
• Otherwise, the oldest connected doForms account will be used, which may not be the intended account.

Drive add-ins

• No limitations. The doForms account is set when the Drive add-in is configured. 

Disconnect doForms from Geotab

Follow these steps to disconnect your doForms account from Geotab:

1. Log in to mydoforms as the doForms account administrator.
2. Open Manage > General > Geotab account.
3. Click Disconnect from Geotab.
