The Score Summary tool is used in conjunction with the Score by Category tool. The Score Summary automatically calculates and summarizes the total possible score for each category, the total assigned score, and the percent of total assigned score relative to possible assigned score.
In the animated image below, three Score by Category fields -- Food prep area, Counters, and Dining Room -- have been created within a form, and all three have been assigned to the same scoring category, Cleanliness. The Score Summary field then calculates and summarizes the score and score percentage when a mobile user selects radio buttons for each field.
You can create multiple categories and we recommend using the score by category tool within the questionnaire tool to make building inspection and survey forms quick and easy. You can use the duplicate option to quickly replicate score by category items within your questionnaire.
The Score Summary remains hidden until you make your first selection. We recommend making questions required so that all questions are calculated. You can offer a N/A option if a question does not apply.
If you want more control over the calculated score values, try using a table with a choose one and then add hidden numeric fields with if then else set to count each answer.
Show decimal value: Show decimal places in the score field.
Category: Select the category of the Score by Category fields to include in the summary. Select All to include all Score by Category fields.
