Tiles
Tiles are the foundation of your dashboard. Every tile in your dashboard requires a name and the additional identifiers that each specific tile type needs. Each tile type is explained below.
- Datagrid: Displays data based on chosen criteria. This tile can display the activity of all forms submitted, filtered submission data, geofence reports, open dispatches and more. The advanced criteria can be configured in the View Wizard or by creating Views.
- Map: Allows a user to view the GPS data from Geotab or Drivertechnologies in a dashboard.
- Page: This tile contains standard WorkFORCE functions that can be added to a dashboard but have limited configuration. These are listed below.
- Chart: Displays a chart with a custom data set. Charts can be configured by creating a View.
- Form List: Shows all forms the user has access to and allows them to be selected and submitted.
- Image Viewer: Displays images from a form.
- Mobile Units: Lists all mobile users in the account sorted by mobile group.
- Feed: Displays submissions activity from mobile users sorted by date.
- doForms Map: Displays GPS data tracked by doForms.
- Browse: Navigates a user to a specific doForms web URL.
- Text Search: Creates a section where a user can input text within a dashboard. This is generally used for filtering other tiles using Dashboard keys.
- doForms Form: Displays a fully usable form in your account within a tile. This form can be filled out and submitted.
- Blank: A blank tile, used for spacing when formatting tile positioning.
- Master Date/Time: Sets the date/time for all tiles. The end user can change the date to view the range that they need to.
- Scheduler: Our new WorkFORCE specific dispatch scheduler.
Once your tile(s) are configured, click Save at the top right of the screen, and click Save again once returned to the Menu manager.

Place on Screen
Place on screen is used to place and resize each specific tile to finalize your dashboard. The place on screen window gives you a visual representation of what the dashboard will look like to the end user.

Dashboard Keys
Dashboard keys are used to enable columns in separate tiles to communicate with each other via filters. Making a tile column a dashboard key can be done by clicking on the key icon () when configuring a dashboard tile.
Filtering with Dashboard Keys: To use filters in dashboard keys, create a dashboard and then navigate to that dashboard as an end user would. Find a tile you want to filter using another tile's keys, and click the three vertical dots at the top right of the tile. In that configuration menu, you can apply two different types of filters using a dashboard key. The two filter types are Primary filters (server side filter) Additional filters (client side filters).
Tile Label
Allows a user to create custom labels using dashboard keysfrom other tiles.
Modal Event
Modal events are used for updating current doForms forms in real time using two or more tiles.
Example: Say you are viewing a dashboard with two tiles. One tile is a Datagrid tile displaying submissions from a form titled "Inventory", while the other is a doForms Form tile which displays the form titled "Inventory" and is hidden. If a modal event was added from the Datagrid tile to the doForms Form tile, the Datagrid tile could then add records to the "Inventory" form in real-time. The doForms Form tile is hidden as it's only purpose is to provide a modal event for the Datagrid tile.
