Appearance

Manage > Mobile app > Appearance is where admin users can customize the appearance of the mobile app. The parts of the app that can be customized in this menu are the header, the menus, the body, the projects, the forms, the notices, the bottom banner, and the message. All parts support color customization through the Color Selection interface. The header supports custom images for logo, narrow banner graphic, and wide banner graphic. The menu supports custom function icons. The bottom banner supports custom images.

Note: The Manage tab is available to users with Manage or Admin privileges only. Be sure to click Save at the top left of the page to save any changes.

Color Selection

The color selection interface is used to select a color for an element of the page. There are a variety of standard colors, but a fully custom color can be chosen using Red, Green, and Blue values. Regardless of how the color is chosen, the RGB values of the color, and a large-scale preview of the color are displayed to the right of the standard color grid.

Header

  • Logo: Sets or clears the logo. Setting can be a custom image, or the doForms logo.
  • Background color: Sets the background color of the header.
  • Icon color: Sets the color of the dropdown menu (hamburger) icon.
  • Narrow banner graphic: Sets the narrow banner graphic to a chosen image, and sets how small the screen has to be for it to be used.
  • Wide banner graphic: Sets the wide banner graphic to a chosen image. Defaults to the narrow graphic if left blank.
    If a banner is selected the main menu screen will use the banner instead of the logo. If no banner is selected the logo will be used by default

Menus

  • Function customization: Arranges functions in the app menu, and sets function icon and text, custom or standard.
    • Icons must be 100x100 pixels. File format can be JPG, JEPG, PNG or GIF. PNG with transparent background is recommended .
  • Menu bar text: Sets color of menu bar text.
  • Menu bar background: Sets color of menu bar background.
  • Menu bar selected background: Sets color of menu bar when selected. (check)
  • Menu bar functions: Sets which functions are on the menu bar. Available functions are: Forms, Projects, Review, Send, Retrieve, Update, Notices, Settings, My info, and Exit.
  • Dropdown menu functions: Sets which functions are in the dropdown (hamburger) menu. Available functions are: Forms, Projects, Review, Send, Retrieve, Update, Notices, Settings, My info, and Exit.
  • Add functions to form view: Adds functions to form view. Available functions are: Projects, Jobs, Review (with sub-options Incomplete, Completed, and Sent), Retrieve, Update, Settings, and My info. Allows placing functions either first, or last.
  • Startup in: Sets which view to start the app in. Possible views are: Forms, Projects, Jobs, Review, and Retrieve.

Body

  • Caption: Sets the text of the caption.
  • Hint: Sets the text of the hint. Displays below the caption, in smaller text.
  • Solid color / Wallpaper: Toggles between solid color or wallpaper.
    • Solid Color: Sets color of solid color body.
    • Wallpaper: Sets wallpaper image. Position options are: Fill, Fit, Stretch, Tile, or Center.

Projects

  • Text color: Sets the text color for projects view.
  • Divider color: Sets the color of the divider.
  • Divider size: Sets the divider size. Options are: None, 1, 4, 8, or 16.

Forms

  • Title text: Sets the title text. Toggles between hiding and not hiding title text.
  • Title text color: Sets the text color of the title text.
  • Form name text color: Sets the text color of the form names.
  • Icon view / List view: Toggles between icon view and list view.
    • Icon view: Toggles adding frames around icons. Sets how large the screen has to be to display 4 icons across. Sets the maximum lines of text under form icons, either 1, 2, or 3.
    • List view
      • Divider color: Sets list divider color.
      • Divider size: Sets the list divider size. Options are: None, 1, 4, 8, or 16.

Notices

  • Background color: Sets the notices view background color.
  • Text color: Sets the notices view text color.
  • Page text color: Sets the page title text color.

Bottom banner

  • Graphic: Sets the bottom banner image. Allows toggling between actual size and fit to screen.
  • Action: Sets the action taken when bottom banner is tapped. Options are URL, and opening a form. URL path must be provided if URL is selected. Form to open must be selected if open a form is chosen.

Message

  • Text: Sets the message that displays to users when they first open the app. Allows to toggle whether message is shown or not.
